LANAP Periodontics

At John McAllister DDS, our team of dental specialists focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease. Our treatment procedure incorporates the latest methods and technology as part of our practice philosophy in providing exceptional dental care to help our patients get the smile that they deserve.

For those suffering from periodontal disease but dread the procedure to treat it, we offer a minimally invasive technique called LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure), an FDA-approved and patented technique that does not involve cutting or sewing of the gums. That means less discomfort for patients compared to conventional periodontal surgery—both during and after the procedure.

LANAP also has the potential to regenerate lost structures such as new root cementum, new periodontal ligament fibers, and new bone because it accesses the foundation tissues of the teeth, gums, and bone.
