About Us

John McAllister DDS

For more than 15 years, Dr. McAllister has been practicing excellent dentistry. To keep himself and his dental care team abreast and up-to-date with the latest technology and trends in dentistry, they regularly attend dental-related conferences, seminars, symposia and post graduate studies. Dr. McAllister is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is currently the acting secretary of the Downey Dental Academy and is one of the clinical instructors at the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry. He also teaches the FDA-approved Laser-Assisted Periodontal Therapy for general dental practitioners and periodontists who want to incorporate this treatment effectively into their dental practices.

Married with two daughters who attend Downey’s public schools, Dr. McAllister is actively involved in the Downey Chamber of Commerce, where he is a member of its board of directors. He is also a vice president of the Downey Pro-Networkers and is a member of the board of directors of the United Latin Council.

Dr. McAllister is actively involved in his church—OLPH.   He enjoys sailing, especially in Long Beach. He currently holds the coveted "Cuba Cup" of Pacific Sailing.
